Many citizens feel that investment information for beginners is still lacking.

The Indonesian Public Opinion Discussion and Study Group (KedaiKOPI) conducted a survey on the quality of investment information circulating in Indonesia.

The results show that a majority, or 73.1%, of respondents felt that information on investment education was not easily understandable for beginners.

Furthermore, 65.7% of respondents considered information on investment risks to be unclear and non-transparent.

Then, 50% of respondents believed that much investment information was inaccurate or did not reflect market conditions, and 42.7% felt there was a lack of information on long-term investments.

Meanwhile, 0.6% of respondents chose other answers, such as a lack of information about the prevalence of untackled investment scams or about investments suitable for low-income earners.

This survey also found that the most trusted source of investment information for the public was official government or financial institution sources (56.8%).

Next were well-known financial/investment websites (14.8%); recommendations from trusted family/relatives (13.9%); and social media, workshops, seminars, or well-known influencers (11.1%).

KedaiKOPI conducted this survey with 900 respondents aged 17-55 in Indonesia. Respondents consisted of 51.1% women and 48.9% men.

Data collection was conducted from February 20 to March 2, 2025, using the Online-Computerized Assisted Self Interview (CASI) method.
