Starting July 1, 2022, the price of Shell Super (RON 92) fuel increased to Rp18,500/liter, while Shell V-Power (RON 95) rose to Rp19,990/liter.
Shell V-Power Nitro+ (RON 98) increased to Rp21,280/liter, and Shell V-Power Diesel (CN 51) rose to Rp21,870/liter.
This marks the fifth price increase for Shell fuel this first half of the year. The initial increase was recorded in March 2022, immediately after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which subsequently impacted global energy commodity prices.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) projects that several major global oil and gas companies will increase their upstream investments this year, but Shell is not among them.
According to the IEA, several giant oil and gas companies from the United States and Saudi Arabia will boost investments to increase new supply in the global energy market in the near future.
