By September 2022, the realization of subsidized fuel consumption (solar and Pertalite) had reached almost 100%. Therefore, the government officially increased the quota of subsidized fuel, Pertalite and Solar, to meet public needs until the end of this year.

The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) stated that the Pertalite quota has been increased by 6.86 million kiloliters (KL) from the initial quota of 23.05 million KL. Meanwhile, the Solar quota has been increased by 2.73 million KL from the initial quota of 15.1 million KL to 17.21 million KL.

The increase in the quota of subsidized Pertalite and Solar fuel has been welcomed positively by PT Pertamina. Irto Ginting, Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, said that the additional quota of subsidized fuel provides certainty regarding the availability of subsidized fuel for eligible citizens.

“This is certainly good news for the public; they don't need to worry about the availability of Pertalite and Solar. This increase is expected to meet public needs until the end of the year,” said Irto.
