According to Trade Map data, in 2024, Malaysia imported crude oil (HS code 2709) with a volume of 22.12 million tons.
Of this, 14.89 million tons or 67% came from three Middle Eastern countries, namely Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

Together, these 10 countries accounted for 91% of Malaysia's total crude oil import volume in 2024.
