According to TNB Aura—a Singapore-based venture capital firm—Indonesia is projected to become the country in Southeast Asia with the largest energy production by 2029.

In addition, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines are said to still be highly dependent on fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and gas.

Meanwhile, at the same time, the potential for renewable energy in the Southeast Asian region has not been fully utilized.

“Strong solar, wind, and hydro resources are available, yet investment in clean energy infrastructure remains limited,” TNB Aura revealed.
