This U.S. Company Uses the Most Green Energy

Green energy is a part of renewable energy. This energy is defined as electricity generated from solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, and biomass sources, offering environmental benefits. Several US companies are now utilizing green energy. Estee Lauder Companies Inc. is the company with the highest percentage of green energy use.

Based on data from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the annual green energy consumption of this company, which produces skincare, cosmetics, perfumes, and hair care products, reached 91.84 million kWh (Kilowatt-hour). This figure is equivalent to 139% of the company's total electricity consumption from green energy sources.

In second place is Voya Financial, with green energy usage reaching 120%. This is followed by Bank of New York Mellon and Sephora, with green energy usage reaching 113% and 112%, respectively.

Next is Bank of America, with a green energy usage percentage of 109%. Then Church & Dwight Co. and Google LLC generated green energy usage percentages of 107% and 106%, respectively.

Indonesia itself will build the world's largest green industrial estate located in North Kalimantan Province. According to President Joko Widodo, this area will utilize green energy as the driving force for industry, and the industries within it will also produce new renewable energy (NRE). The development of this green industrial estate is part of the government's strategy to achieve its carbon emission reduction targets.
