The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released the results of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2016, stating that the rate of part-time workers in Indonesia reached 19.64 percent. This means that out of 100 working people, approximately 20 work less than 35 hours per week and have no desire to increase their working hours. This part-time worker rate decreased compared to August 2015 and February 2016, with decreases of 1.76 percentage points and 1.80 percentage points, respectively.
