The demand for workers in the Information Technology (IT) or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector is projected to continue increasing until 2025.

According to a report by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), in 2021 the number of workers in the national ICT sector was only around 1 million people.

This need is then expected to increase annually, reaching 1.97 million people by 2025.

Kemnaker projects that the most sought-after IT workers now and in the coming years will be those in the fields of network operation access, network operation backbone, and software engineer.
