February 2023, Average Wage for Other Service Workers in Papua: Rp. 3.06 Million

The average net monthly wage of formal other service sector workers in Papua in February 2023 increased by Rp. 341,005 to Rp. 3.06 million compared to December 2022. Over the past seven years, the average wage for other service sector workers has steadily increased at a faster rate than in previous years.

The average net monthly wage of formal other service sector workers in the last five years experienced its highest growth in 2018 at 30.87% and its lowest in 2021, with a decrease of 13.99%.

According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the wages received by workers in this sector in Papua province amounted to Rp. 3.06 million. Compared to other provinces, the average wage in the other service sector in this province ranks first nationally.

Compared to 15 other sectors, wages in this sector rank 13th. Meanwhile, the sector with the highest wages in this province is mining and quarrying, with a net monthly income reaching Rp. 10.66 million.

The second highest paying sector is electricity and gas supply, with a monthly wage of Rp. 7.68 million. Third is the financial services and insurance sector with a payment of Rp. 5.48 million.

The lowest paying sector in this province is agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, with a monthly payment of Rp. 1.74 million.
