The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that there were 147.91 million working residents in Indonesia in November 2025.

Based on the last level of education, workers in the country are predominantly primary school graduates or below, accounting for 34.63% of the total working population during that period.

The next largest proportion of working residents are high school graduates with a proportion of 20.99%, followed by junior high school graduates at 17.31%, and vocational school graduates at 14.06%.

Meanwhile, workers with higher education have the lowest proportion, which is only 13.01%. Breaking it down, there are 10.81% with Diploma I/II/III, and 2.20% with Diploma IV/Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree/Doctoral Degree.
