The East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government (Pemprov NTT) has set the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) at Rp2,186,826.
This figure represents an increase of Rp62,832, or 2.96%, compared to the 2023 UMP.
The increase in the NTT 2024 UMP is stipulated in the Decree of the Acting Governor of NTT Number 355/HK/Kep/HK/2023, ratified on November 20, 2023.
Assistant I of the NTT Provincial Government Secretariat, Erni Usboko, explained that the UMP increase was calculated based on the formula in Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023 concerning Wages.
"This UMP applies to workers who have been employed for less than one year," said Erni, as reported by Antara on Tuesday (21/11/2023).
Head of the NTT Cooperatives, Manpower, and Transmigration Office, Silvya Peku Djawang, also stated that the NTT Provincial Government will monitor the implementation of the UMP in its region.
This monitoring system will utilize the Mandatory Company Labor Reporting (WLKP) application developed by the Ministry of Manpower.
If any company's payroll does not comply with the minimum wage, or lacks a wage scale structure for workers with more than one year of service, complaints can be submitted to labor unions and the government.
