State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) Insan Cendekia Serpong, South Tangerang City, achieved the highest Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) score in the 2022 Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK), making it the best senior high school.
TPS is a test that measures cognitive abilities, encompassing general reasoning, reading and writing comprehension, general knowledge and understanding, and quantitative knowledge. This test is conducted to measure the abilities needed for prospective students to complete their studies in higher education.
In this test, MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong achieved a total score of 679.71, the highest nationally. Furthermore, MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong also ranked first in the Top 1,000 school list compiled by the State University Entrance Test Institution (LTMPT) in 2022.
The next highest-scoring senior high school was SMAN 8 Jakarta, South Jakarta City, with a TPS score of 654.06. This was followed by SMA Katolik St. Louis 1, Surabaya City, with a TPS score of 653.99.
Next in the ranking were SMA Pradita Dirgantara, Boyolali Regency, with a TPS score of 651.36; then MAN Insan Cendekia, Pekalongan, with a TPS score of 649.35.
Following these were SMA 8 Yogyakarta with a TPS score of 646.05; SMAS BPK 1 Penabur, Bandung City, with a TPS score of 645.3; then SMA 2 Yogyakarta with a score of 645.14; SMAS Unggul Del, Toba Regency, with a score of 644.88; and SMA 3 Yogyakarta with a TPS score of 643.2.
TPS is one of the UTBK subjects organized by LTMPT for the Joint Selection for State University Entrance (SBMPTN).
The following is the school ranking method compiled by LTMPT 2022:
* Schools included in the ranking are those with more than 40 participants in the 2022 UTBK (2022 graduates).
* The number of schools meeting this criterion is 3,381.
* The number of participants meeting the 2022 UTBK assessment criteria is 515,165.
* The 2022 UTBK score is calculated based on 60% TPS + 40% TKA (Academic Competence Test).
* TPS is based on the average TPS of each participant from that school.
* TKA is based on the average TKA (Science and Social Sciences) of each participant from that school.
* For participants taking the mixed exam, their highest TKA score is used.
* Schools are ranked from highest to lowest total score.
* The top 1,000 schools with the highest total score are selected.
