Nine senior high schools (SMA) in South Sulawesi are included in the top 1,000 schools ranking conducted by the Indonesian College Entrance Test Agency (Lembaga Tes Masuk Perguruan Tinggi or LTMPT) in 2022.

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Insan Cendekia Gowa is the best senior high school in South Sulawesi, achieving an average Computer-Based Written Examination (Ujian Tertulis Berbasis Komputer or UTBK) score of 568.16 in 2022. With this achievement, this MAN from Gowa Regency ranks 139th nationally.

The next best senior high schools in South Sulawesi are SMAS Islam Athirah Bone Regency with a UTBK score of 564.46; followed by SMAS Zion Makassar City with a UTBK score of 563.18; SMAN 5 Gowa with a score of 554.78; and SMAS Katolik Rajawali with a score of 545.54.

Following these are SMAN 5 Parepare with a UTBK score of 536.96; SMAN 17 Makassar with a score of 523.97; SMAS Kristen Barana with a score of 517.99; and SMA Islam Athirah Makassar City with a score of 515.28.

* The number of schools meeting this criterion is 3,381.
* The number of participants meeting the 2022 UTBK assessment criteria is 515,165.
* The 2022 UTBK score is calculated based on 60% TPS + 40% TKA.
* Schools are ranked based on the highest to lowest total score.
* The top 1,000 schools with the highest total score are selected.
