Graduates of SMPN 115 Dominate New Student Registrations at SMA 8 Jakarta

The 2019 zoning system was implemented to improve the quality of education distribution in Indonesia. However, the reality on the ground can be vastly different. Graduates from SMP Negeri 115 Jakarta dominated the New Student Admission (PPDB) at SMA 8 Jakarta, accounting for 52.48%. SMPN 115 Jakarta Selatan, based on the 2019 Computer-Based National Examination (UNBK) scores, ranked first with an average score of 93.78.

Following SMPN 115 Jakarta, the next highest number of applicants came from SMP Labschool Jakarta Timur at 9.94% and SMPN 73 Jakarta Selatan at 6.07%. Next, applicants from SMP Madina Islamic School and SMP Labschool Kebayoran Jakarta Selatan accounted for 3.86% and 3.31%, respectively. Graduates from SMP Kristen 5 BPK Penabur made up 2.2%.

Graduates from SMPN 216 and SMPN 52 who were accepted into SMAN 8 Jakarta accounted for 1.65%. Meanwhile, graduates from Global Islamic School Jakarta Timur and SMP Labschool Cibubur, Bekasi, who entered this prestigious high school, only accounted for 1.1%.
