Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British higher education analytics firm, has released its list of the best student cities for international students in the *QS Best Student Cities 2024* category.
QS assessed 160 countries worldwide. The assessment was based on six key indicators: university rankings, student composition, city attractiveness as a study destination, industry activity, affordability, and student opinion.
The assessment also considered cities with a minimum population of 250,000 and hosting at least two universities in the latest *QS World University Rankings*.
Other considerations included the affordability of education and living costs, the number of international students, safety and health, and student surveys.

Based on the assessment, London, UK, ranked first with a perfect score of 100 out of 100 points.
"London once again ranks as the best city in the world for students. The British capital's performance is undeniable, given that London is home to the world's most prestigious academic institutions, such as King's College London and UCL (University College London)," QS wrote on its official website.
Tokyo followed in second place with a score of 98 points. Seoul came in third with 97.6 points. These two cities represent Asia in the top 10.
Melbourne ranked fourth with 97.3 points, and Munich fifth with 97.1 points.
Indonesia did not make the top 10. However, several Indonesian cities were ranked within the top 100: Jakarta (122), Yogyakarta (126), Bandung (133), and Surabaya (145).

2. Tokyo (Japan): 98 points
3. Seoul (South Korea): 97.6 points
4. Melbourne (Australia): 97.3 points
5. Munich (Germany): 97.1 points
6. Paris (France): 96.3 points
7. Sydney (Australia): 96.2 points
8. Berlin (Germany): 95 points
9. Zurich (Switzerland): 95 points
10. Boston (USA): 92.3 points
