Open University Graduates the Largest Number of Students in 2020

The 2020 Higher Education Statistics Report notes that 1,535,074 students graduated in 2020. Of this number, the highest number of graduates came from Universitas Terbuka, with 57,310 graduates. This figure represents 3.7% of the total graduates in 2020.

The next university with the highest number of graduates is Universitas Gadah Mada, with 18,505 graduates from Yogyakarta.

Following this, Universitas Indonesia produced 17,472 graduates, and Universitas Brawijaya 15,988 graduates. Next, Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (BSI) had 12,774 graduates.

Universitas Padjajaran and Universitas Negeri Padang followed, each producing 10,317 and 10,251 graduates respectively. Universitas Negeri Jakarta recorded 9,535 graduates, and Universitas Diponegoro 9,443 graduates.

The Ministry of Education and Culture recorded 865,919 graduates from private higher education institutions (PTS) in 2020. Meanwhile, there were 68,764 graduates from ministry/agency higher education institutions (PTK), 135,446 from religious higher education institutions (PTA), and 464,945 from state higher education institutions (PTN).
