Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Wednesday, April 17, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (17/4/2024) at 18.54 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, shallots, granulated sugar, pure beef, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, red chili peppers, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,530 (3.26%) to Rp48,530 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the least, by Rp1,260 (2.79%) to Rp43,960 per kg.
