Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Egg, Oil, and Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (4/11/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are shallots, skipjack tuna, SPHP rice, red chilies, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase of Rp370 (1.77%), reaching Rp21,300 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp230 (3.81%), reaching Rp5,800 per kg.
