Today's Food Prices February 27 in East Java: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Red Chili Falls

Several food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 27, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk granulated sugar, shallots, broiler chicken eggs, premium packaged palm cooking oil, and bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as imported soybeans, large red chilies, broiler chicken meat, curly red chilies, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices rose the most by Rp1,543 (1.97%) to Rp79,697 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp622 (2.14%) to Rp28,404 per kg.
