Latest Food Prices in D.I Yogyakarta: Oil, Red Chili and Sugar Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in D.I Yogyakarta today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) at 09:34 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include large red chili, medium rice, consumption salt, farmer-level corn, and red cayenne pepper.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption sugar, garlic bulb, kembung fish, packaged cooking oil, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Consumption salt saw the highest increase of Rp766 (6.61%) to Rp12,357 per kg. Kembung fish prices experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp1,138 (2.78%) to Rp39,800 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 23 food commodities in D.I Yogyakarta according to Bapanas on August 27, 2025 at 09:34 AM WIB.

3. Kembung Fish: Rp39,800 per kg (down 2.78%)
4. Milkfish: Rp38,778 per kg (down 0.57%)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp36,000 per kg (up 0.8%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp34,500 per kg (up 1.77%)
7. Tongkol Fish: Rp33,900 per kg (down 2.45%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp29,765 per kg (down 1.75%)
9. Curly Red Chili: Rp26,923 per kg (down 2.26%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,536 per kg (down 1.0%)
11. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp23,692 per kg (up 1.31%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,412 per liter (down 2.22%)
13. Consumption Sugar: Rp17,059 per kg (down 1.79%)
14. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,718 per liter (up 1.29%)
