Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Egg, Oil, and Red Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food ingredients in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Reporting from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (September 22, 2025) at 13:22 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are consumption salt, pure beef, Minyakita cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, medium rice, consumption sugar, bulk wheat flour, and red onion decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp3,037 (5.27%) to Rp60,630 per kg. The price of garlic bulb decreased the most by Rp318 (0.91%) to Rp34,606 per kg.

4. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp44,470 per kg (up 2.66%)
5. Mackerel: Rp37,804 per kg (down 0.8%)
6. Red Onion: Rp37,636 per kg (down 0.52%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,403 per kg (up 0.27%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp34,606 per kg (down 0.91%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,460 per kg (down 0.28%)
10. Milkfish: Rp28,333 per kg (down 0.23%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,622 per kg (up 0.07%)
