Current Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta: Rice Up, Onions Down

Today''s prices for several food items in D.I. Yogyakarta are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (26/8/2025) at 09.34 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include red cayenne pepper, packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as pure beef, packaged wheat flour, red onions, broiler chicken eggs, and dry soybean seeds (imported) decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Medium rice prices surged the highest by Rp4,022 (30.71%) to Rp17,117 per kg. Red onion prices fell the deepest by Rp4,825 (11.69%) to Rp36,444 per kg.
