Latest Central Java Food Prices: Egg Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (17/8/2024) at 16.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, premium rice, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of chicken eggs saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp170 (0.65%) to Rp26,400 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping by Rp820 (1.59%) to Rp50,790 per kg.
