Pertamina, the Institution with the Highest Number of Gratification Reports

Pertamina is a state-owned enterprise or company with the highest number of reported gratuities in Indonesia. According to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) 2015 Annual Report, 2,080 gratuity reports were recorded at this state-owned enterprise. The company with the second-highest number of gratuities is Bank Jabar Banten. From this regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) of the West Java and Banten Provincial Government, 1,251 gratuity reports were received by the KPK. Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia, a state-owned enterprise, is the third company with the largest number of reported gratuities, totaling 533 reports.

Gratuity is a broad term encompassing various forms of gifts. The law mandates that all state officials report any gratuity received to the KPK if it is related to their position and contradicts their duties or obligations. Failure to report a gratuity will deem it a bribe, incurring the risk of administrative and criminal legal violations.
