Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Egg and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (23/10/2024) at 15.27 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, fine iodized salt, SPHP rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,830 (5.27%) to Rp36,560 per kg. Milkfish prices, on the other hand, decreased the most, by Rp1,570 (4.51%) to Rp33,250 per kg.

7. Curly Red Chili: Rp34,030 per kg (up 2.22%)
8. Milkfish: Rp33,250 per kg (down 4.51%)
9. Red Onion: Rp29,130 per kg (up 0.73%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,350 per kg (up 0.14%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,950 per kg (down 0.28%)
