Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (7/9/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken meat, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, SPHP rice, mackerel, milkfish, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp220 (4.0%) to Rp5,720 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp1,400 (5.78%) to Rp22,810 per kg.
