The 2023 current price Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Barito Utara Regency reached Rp14.18 trillion. The GRDP in this regency grew by 5.49% compared to the previous year's Rp14.3 trillion.

The mining and quarrying sector ranks first. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest GRDP value, reaching Rp6.22 trillion, with a growth of 5.71%.
Second is the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, which grew by 2.12% to Rp1.34 trillion, followed by the manufacturing sector, which grew by 4.71% to Rp1.13 trillion.
Other sectors contributing to the top five include wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, with a GRDP of Rp858.15 billion.
