Indonesia's Thursday (June 13th) Food Prices: Chili Up, Salt Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (13/6/2024) at 13.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, broiler chicken, pure beef, red chili peppers, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), and medium-grain rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,430 (2.71%) to Rp54,290 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease of Rp290 (0.87%) to Rp33,010 per kg.
