West Java Food Prices, Monday (May 20th): Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (20/5/2024) at 13.47 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,340 (3.19%) to Rp43,320 per kg. Chicken meat saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp420 (1.09%) to Rp37,980 per kg.
