Current Food Prices in Banten: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (12/5/2024) at 16:46 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, red chilies, garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken meat, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up Rp390 (6.23%) to Rp6,650 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was red chilies, down Rp2,370 (4.83%) to Rp46,690 per kg.
