Latest Food Prices in West Java: Rice and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (1/5/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, curly red chilies, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, red chilies, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp130 (1.26%) to Rp10,450 per kg. Red chilies saw the lowest price decrease, falling by Rp590 (1.38%) to Rp42,310 per kg.
