State Spending Realization Reaches Rp1.234.6 Trillion by the First Half of 2022

The Ministry of Finance's report notes that state expenditure reached Rp1,234.6 trillion in the first half of 2022. This realization grew by 6.3% compared to the same period the previous year (year-on-year/yoy), which amounted to Rp1,170.2 trillion.

This achievement reached 40% of the state revenue and expenditure budget (APBN) ceiling of Rp2,714.2 trillion.

"This expenditure is mainly for employee salaries, including THR (religious holiday allowance), operational activities of ministries and institutions, and the distribution of social assistance to the public," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani during the APBN Kita July 2022 Press Conference on Wednesday (27/7/2022).

The details are as follows: the realization of transfer expenditure to regions and village funds (TKDD) amounted to Rp367.1 trillion. This figure decreased by 1.8% yoy.

Then, the realization of central government expenditure (BPP) amounted to Rp876.5 trillion, or an increase of 10.1% compared to the previous year, which was Rp796.3 trillion.

The realization of ministry/institution (K/L) expenditure amounted to Rp392.8 trillion, or a decrease of 12.6% yoy. Meanwhile, the realization of non-K/L expenditure was recorded at Rp483.7 trillion, or an increase of 39.5% yoy.

State revenue realization was recorded at Rp1,317.2 trillion until the first half of 2022. Tax revenue contributed the largest portion of state revenue, reaching Rp1,035.9 trillion.

Due to the higher realization of revenue compared to state expenditure, Indonesia experienced a state budget surplus of Rp73.6 trillion until the first half of this year. This figure reached 0.39% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
