Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Red Chili Prices Rise, Buffalo Meat Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (29/10/2025) at 09.53 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were curly red chili, shallots, broiler chicken eggs, fresh buffalo meat (local), and Minyakita.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, corn at farmer level, medium rice, packaged wheat flour, and mackerel fish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp2,349 (5.34%) to Rp46,361 per kg. As for mackerel fish prices, they dropped the deepest by Rp1,508 (4.46%) to Rp32,289 per kg.

The following is a complete list of 25 food commodity prices in Central Java according to Bapanas on October 29, 2025, at 09.53 AM WIB.

6. Shallots: Rp38,558 per kg (up 0.49%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,114 per kg (down 0.48%)
