East Java Food Price Update Today: Sugar, Chicken, and Salt Prices Rise (Wednesday, March 20, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (20/3/2024) at 11:18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, curly red chilies, pure beef, iodized fine salt, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, premium rice, chicken eggs, mackerel, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp670 (7.25%) to Rp9,910 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp1,660 (5.41%) to Rp29,020 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp33,020 per kg (down 0.21%)
7. Mackerel: Rp32,310 per kg (down 3.58%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp30,900 per kg (down 0.52%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,020 per kg (down 5.41%)
10. Red Onions: Rp27,230 per kg (down 2.12%)
