Daily Prices of Curly Red Chilies at Modern Markets in West Sumatra Province Have Fallen 13.12% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of curly red chilies in West Sumatra's modern markets is recorded at Rp67,850 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the last month, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp78,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets over the last three months in West Sumatra has decreased by 22.77%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of curly red chilies in West Sumatra's modern markets was traded at Rp87,850 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2022 with an increase of 54.76%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2020 with a decrease of -25.18%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sumatra show six commodities decreased and seven increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Red Chilies, Curly Red Chilies, Green Chili Peppers, Chili Peppers, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, and Medium Quality Rice I.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in West Sumatra Province:
