State Spending Realization Down 1.9% in September 2021

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) recorded that state expenditure reached Rp 1,806.8 trillion until September 2021, down 1.9% from the same period last year, which was Rp 1,841.3 trillion. This realization reached 65.7% of its target in the 2021 State Budget (APBN) of Rp 2,750 trillion.

In detail, the realization of ministry/agency (K/L) expenditure reached Rp 734 trillion in September 2021. This figure grew by 16.1% compared to the same period the previous year, which was Rp 632.2 trillion.

The realization of non-K/L expenditure was recorded at Rp 531.3 trillion last month. This amount decreased by 8.3% compared to September 2020, which reached Rp 579.5 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realization of transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD) amounted to Rp 541.5 trillion in September 2021. This amount decreased by 14% from September 2020, which reached Rp 629.7 trillion.

Kemenkeu also recorded state revenue realization of Rp 1,354.8 trillion in September 2021. Because this value is lower than the expenditure realization, Indonesia still experienced a budget deficit of Rp 452 trillion or 2.74% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
