Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Onions Up, Chilies Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (20/11/2024) at 2 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, granulated sugar, milkfish, shallots, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp520 (1.37%) to Rp38,610 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp430 (1.04%) to Rp40,800 per kg.

9. Curly Red Chili Pepper: Rp29,350 per kg (up 0.41%)
