Today''s Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chicken Meat and Chili Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (8/9/2025) at 13:24 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler chicken meat, bulk cooking oil, dried soybean (imported), broiler chicken eggs, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, corn at farmer level, mackerel, medium rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest surge of Rp4,725 (10.34%) to Rp50,422 per kg. Meanwhile, corn prices at the farmer level experienced the deepest drop of Rp110 (1.59%) to Rp6,810 per kg.
