West Java Food Prices Week of September 15th: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (15/9/2024) at 14.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, shallots, chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, chicken meat, Indian mackerel, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp490 (2.04%) to Rp24,470 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply, by Rp100 (1.82%) to Rp5,380 per kg.
