Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (4/8/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, curly red chilies, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, mackerel, milkfish, dry soybean (import), and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp760 (1.7%) to Rp45,510 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves decreased the most, by Rp440 (1.17%) to Rp37,020 per kg.
