Food Prices Sunday (2/11) in South Sumatra: Onion, Rice, and Chicken Meat Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (2/11/2025) at 1:55 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include garlic (whole bulb), pure beef, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, consumption salt, bulk cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The red onion commodity rose the highest by Rp652 (1.72%) to Rp38,576 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper fell the sharpest by Rp420 (1.15%) to Rp36,186 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 23 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on November 2, 2025, at 1:55 PM WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,323 per kg (up 0.03%)
7. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp36,186 per kg (down 1.15%)
8. Garlic (Whole Bulb): Rp34,119 per kg (up 0.48%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,017 per kg (up 1.01%)
