Indonesia's Food Prices on Friday (March 28th): What's the Price of Beef?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (28/3/2025) at 11.02 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include fresh buffalo meat (local), skipjack tuna, medium-grain rice, pure beef, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), milkfish, shallots, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,804 (4.81%) to Rp61,093 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply, by Rp109 (1.74%) to Rp6,148 per kg.
