Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate Weakens to Rp 14,934 per US Dollar (Wednesday, September 7, 2022)

The Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market this morning, until 10:43 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), was traded at Rp 14,934 per US dollar on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. This exchange rate weakened by 0.32% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 14,886 per US dollar. Today's trading of the Rupiah exchange rate is expected to move in the range of 14897.5 - 14917.5.

As shown on investing.com, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 0.64% in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 0.69%.

However, for the one-year period, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually strengthened. In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,030 per US dollar.

For the January-September 2022 period, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has shown a weakening trend, moving 0.43% compared to the condition a month ago, which was at Rp 14,870 per US dollar.

The current Rupiah exchange rate follows most regional currencies that are weakening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean Won weakened by 6.18 points (+0.45%) to KRW 1,380.8 per US dollar. Following this, the Japanese Yen weakened by 0.41 points (+0.29%), the Singapore Dollar weakened (+0.12%), the Euro weakened (+0.18%), and the Chinese Yuan weakened by 0.02 points (+0.23%).
