The Ministry of Finance confirms that the payment of the 13th-month salary for Civil Servants (PNS) or State Civil Apparatus (ASN) will commence on July 1, 2022. For this purpose, the ministry will prepare a budget of Rp35.5 trillion, which will be disbursed to central and regional government PNS and pensioners.
The Director of Budget Implementation at the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb), Ministry of Finance, Tri Budhianto, stated that Rp11.5 trillion of the funds will be allocated through Ministries/Agencies (K/L) for central government PNS.
Furthermore, Rp15 trillion will be allocated through the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of regional governments for regional PNS. Meanwhile, Rp9 trillion will be allocated through the State Treasurer (BUN) for pensioners.
Tri stated that the amount of the 13th-month salary received by PNS and pensioners will be the same as the Religious Holiday Allowance (THR) some time ago. The components of the 13th-month salary to be given consist of basic salary, attached allowances, and 50% of performance allowance.
Furthermore, regarding the number of recipients, it is estimated to be the same as the THR recipients. The Ministry of Finance previously disbursed THR to 8.8 million recipients, consisting of 1.8 million state civil apparatus (ASN) at the central level, 3.7 million regional ASN, and 3.3 million pensioners.
"However, we cannot yet confirm the number of recipients because there will certainly be movement, so it is more or less the same as the THR," said Tri, as quoted from *Katadata.co.id*, Tuesday (21/6/2022).
The disbursement of the 13th-month salary can be started this week by the Working Unit (Satker). In principle, Tri continued, the disbursement process can be carried out starting from June 23, but the payment will be made starting from July 1.
