Food Prices in Jambi Wednesday (August 20): Red Chili, Oil, and Egg Prices Decline

Prices of several food commodities in Jambi today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Referring to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) at 09:34 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include consumption sugar, mackerel, fresh buffalo meat (local), SPHP rice, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, large red chili, garlic cloves, frozen buffalo meat (imported), and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp2,875 (9.47%) to Rp33,250 per kg. As for corn prices at the farmer level, they dropped the deepest by Rp6,867 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
