Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Monday (June 24th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (24/6/2024) at 08.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,710 (8.19%) to Rp48,990 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel saw the largest decrease of Rp6,250 (19.38%) to Rp26,000 per kg.

7. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,500 per kg (down 0.54%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,390 per kg (down 0.47%)
9. Milkfish: Rp26,000 per kg (down 7.24%)
10. Indian Mackerel: Rp26,000 per kg (down 19.38%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 1.81%)
