Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Sunday, April 14, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (14/4/2024) at 09.18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are: clove garlic bulbs, kembung fish, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as tongkol fish, bulk cooking oil, bandeng fish, shallots, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of clove garlic bulbs saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp4,500 (11.66%) to Rp43,090 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp1,850 (20.17%) to Rp7,320 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp38,660 per kg (down 18.61%)
7. Kembung Fish: Rp36,650 per kg (up 1.16%)
8. Tongkol Fish: Rp33,250 per kg (down 1.36%)
9. Bandeng Fish: Rp29,320 per kg (down 13.99%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,990 per kg (down 5.5%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,660 per kg (up 5.56%)
