Latest Food Prices in West Java: Rice Up, Salt Down (Monday, February 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (12/2/2024) at 08.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), Indian mackerel, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was dry soybean (import), rising by Rp1,300 (11.11%) to Rp13,000 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was iodized fine salt, falling by Rp1,940 (18.71%) to Rp8,430 per kg.
