Friday (January 17th) Food Prices in East Java: Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (17/01/2025) at 09.45 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, premium rice, fine iodized salt, skipjack tuna, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, pure beef, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,964 (6.03%), reaching Rp52,131 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the largest price decrease of Rp4,008 (5.1%), reaching Rp74,595 per kg.
