Indonesia's Friday (August 2nd) Food Prices: Onion, Salt, and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (2/8/2024) at 2:52 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean seeds (import), granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp330 (1.01%) to Rp32,910 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the most by Rp80 (1.4%) to Rp5,640 per kg.

9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,970 per kg (down 0.58%)
